Reading Highlight

This week on the last week of the holidays, I have been reading my Duffy book called, "Field Trip to Niagara Falls", from the book series of Geronimo Stilton. The author is Elisabetta Dami. She is an Italian writer, who writes under the pseudonym of Geronimo Stilton. I read this book under two days! That's the fastest I have ever read a chapter book.

This book was about Geronimo Stilton, who goes on a trip to Niagara Falls with his nephew's (Benjamin) class after thinking they were going to The Rodent's Gazette, the most famous daily newspaper on Mouse Island. He pays for 24 tickets, that is the whole class, plus Miss Angel Paws (a teacher who he seems to like) and himself.

They arrive in Toronto, Canada. Camping for the night, Stilton called his sister for help with the 9 tents, the campfire and the bathroom. The next day, they all went to see the Niagara Falls. After looking at the magnificent falls, they all went on a boat to look under the falls. Punk Rat (one of the students, and one of Benjamin's friends) falls into the water, and so Geronimo dives in, grabs Punk Rat, gets back onto the boat, and is a hero!

Back to the camp, Geronimo asks Miss Angel Paws if she's married. She sobs, saying she was in love once, until her lover was chased by a cat, but later, amazingly, she is reunited with her lover, Gentle Mouse. There goes Geronimo's chance of getting her.

At the end, where they all take down a fire, make a wedding, have a wedding, and go back to New Mouse City, the class say goodbye to Geronimo, which was sad, considering they spent lots of time together while overseas. Then Geronimo decided, he should travel more, and off he went to Blue Cheese Island.

I found this book interesting, with Geronimo going on another adventure, saving a person's life, reuniting a couple, making the tents, the fire, and the bathroom, and also, taking a class to a trip overseas, which was by accident, really.

I am currently reading another book in the Geronimo Stilton series, called, "Watch your tail!". I had just started reading it, and it is about Geronimo Stiltonoot, Mr Stilton's ancient ancestor!
